Hotkist Creation by Evelyn specializes in designing cakes, cupcakes, cake pops and even diaper cakes, party favors, etc. that artistically reflect the ideas, personalities, themes, etc. that are unique to each client. We bake and decorate custom cakes for any special occasion.

About me
I am a third generation of a family of bakers and creative cake decorators for nearly five decades (F. Quinal Store and Bakery, est. 1949, Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines).
Baking and decorating cakes are one of my few hobbies. I am mostly a self-taught cake decorator. I attended few cake decorating classes from TLC / Food Network's Winners and from the Institute of Culinary Education in NY, as well as attended few seminars to learn new tools and new sugar techniques, such as modeling chocolate, gelatin, and isomalts.
Over the past 4 years, I have joined three cake decorating competitions. Took home a Gold medal on my first competition at the Central New York Cake Decorating Contest in Ithaca, NY on September 2010. The second competition taking home 2nd place for Cake Sculpting and 3rd place for the Wedding Cake categories from the National Capitol Area Cake Show (NCACS) in Annandale, VA on March 2011. Lastly, I took home 1st place for the sculpting and 2nd place for the non-wedding tiered categories at that NCACS on March 2012.
